RYA Basic Navigation & Safety
This new level entry shore-based course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of those deciding to take to the sea for the first time, be it sailing, motor boating or any other sea related activity. The course will guide you through the following topics with an emphasis on practical exercises and simulations:
safety; chartwork; buoyage; tides; visual and electronic navigation; pilotage; rules of the road; anchoring; weather forecasts; and passage planning.
This shore-based course requires a minimum of 6 students, dates can be flexible and mutually agreed to accomodate a group or club’s individual needs. For further inormation please go to the link below.
