The RYA Yachtmaster shore-based course is ideal for skippers and crew with more experience who want to increase their navigation and seamanship knowledge. The course aims to give you the planning, preparation and navigational skills required to safely skipper a vessel at sea by day and night. This course is also the theory standard required for those planning on doing the RYA Coastal Skipper practical course or taking the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence examinations.
