ASHORE SAILING IS GOING INTERACTIVE! After recently attending a successful RYA SRC conference in Portsmouth Ashore Sailing is pleased to announce that we will be joining the RYA Interactive programme in the New Year.
Initially we will be offering online courses in RYA Essential Navigation and the ‘NEW’ soon to be launched Marine Radio SRC course.
In 2014 the Marine Operators Short Range Certificate is changing, Student training will be separated from assessment. Students will either attend a full days instruction, or complete the RYA interactive online course through an approved RYA Training Centre. Students will then attend an RYA approved Training Centre for separate assessment.

Ashore Sailing in partnership with Rawlins College are pleased to announce that we will running RYA Day Skipper and RYA Yachtmaster evening classes commencing 25th & 26th September respectively. For more information on these courses, and how to book your place follow the links.

Congratulations, we hope you all have great 2013 sailing season.
Over Easter fourteen Ashore Sailing members, made up three crews and had an enjoyable, if not just a tad cold, five days sailing in the Solent and surrounding seas.
We all sailed matched Oceanis 37’s supplied by Fairview Sailing, with RYA Instructors on each boat offering training from RYA Competent Crew and RYA Day Skipper to RYA Coastal Skipper level
One crew spent the first day having a close quarter boat handling course under the watchful eye of their instructor, Mason, before new Skipper Adam safely navigated them around the Solent and beyond for the next four days.
All boats returned safely to their home port at Hamble Marina on Monday.

Ashore Sailing has organised a week of RYA Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper practical sailing and training in The Solent with Fairview Sailing on two of their matched Beneteau 37’s.
Five Ashore Sailing Day Skipper shore based students are having a crew meeting tonight prior to their planned RYA Day Skipper Practical sail & train event with Fairview Sailing taking place over the Easter long weekend.
